Children’s Gift Guide

Lifestyle-blog-images-114I get a lot of questions about what gift ideas I might have when it comes to small kiddos… since I have them (small kiddos). When kid’s get a little older, it’s easier to ask them for gifts ideas and get a legitimate answer like: I would like a hot wheels set for my birthday. I recently asked Linus what he wanted for his birthday and his response was: “uuuuhhhhhh… aaa…aaaaaa a book, no a phone!!” Needless to say buying gifts for smaller children can feel daunting, SO! I have made a rather long winded (in true k.miller fashion) gift guide for those little people in your life. A lot of these toys we either own or have “test drove” at other homes.

I broke it down into several categories so you can get a clear idea of where to look/where to buy.  There are 6 Categories: Big Box Stores, Online Boutique shops, Brands, Practical Gifts, Big Gifts, and then lastly Toys. The toy category  is broken down into 12 different types of toy groupings to help narrow down what you’re looking for. So here goes:)…

Stores: 1.) Pottery Barn Kids 2.) Crate and barrel kids 3.) Target 4.) Amazon

Boutique-ish Online Shops: 1.) Merci Milo 2.) Maisonette 3.) My Sweet Muffin 4.) Ollie Ella 5.) Smallable 6.) Wee Gallery

Brands: 1.) Melissa and Doug 2.) Green Toys 3.) Wee Gallery 4.) Kid O 5.) Plan Toys 6.) Hape

Big Gifts:

This is great! I am not a mom and so I struggle with gift-giving for friends/family for their little ones. I always want to get something fun, but something that the parent’s will also like. I will definitely use this as a guide moving forward.
